Yates Tavern

Located three and one half miles south through Gretna, this fully restored 18th century building is believed to be the only historic building in Virginia with a second story overhang or jetties. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The marker was installed at the time of the U. S. bicentennial celebration in 1976, on southbound US 29 near the northern exit to Gretna's Main Street (Business 29).
