Pictures from Chatham's Past: 1970's

Stuart and Johnadee White

Johnadee and Stuart White, in their backyard at 131 Hedrick Drive, during 1974. They were dressed up to serve hotdogs at Woodlawn Academy's fall carnival, where their son Travis was a student. Their neighbor Lt. Col. Charles Hughes Jones thought they looked American Gothic and took the photograph. (Research assistance provided by Reba Motley and Jane White.)
