The caption as written by Preston Moses is: "The oldtimers of Chatham remember "Bolanz Store on the Corner." This picture taken in 1916 is an interior view of the store that featured bon-bons, confections of all sorts, fruits, baked goods, and a variety of groceries and stable goods. At right is J. H. Bolanz (the owner), and Maurice Taylor, left, was a clerk at the store."
