A hot zone for public wi-fi internet access, provided by Southside Wireless, is available in downtown Chatham. The sign-marked wireless access zone includes Main Street one block north and south of the Pittsylvania County Courthouse in the center of town.
David Mitchell utilizes the Chatham wi-fi access zone while sitting beside Garner's Streetcar Diner at Main Street and Pruden Avenue.
The highest intensity of the zone seems to be focused near the intersection of Main Street and Pruden Avenue (see map), a half block south of the Courthouse.
