Notice of auction of the Henry Clay Allen Farm in Pittsylvania County on November 7, 1925. Allen had died on June 5, 1925.
I will offer for sale, at PUBLIC AUCTION, on the premises, the farm formerly owned by H. C. Allen, deceased. This farm is located on the south side of White Oak Mountain, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, about 16 miles from Danville and about 2 1/2 miles east of Dry Fork. It has been subdivided into three tracts, one contained about 175 acres, on which is located a 7-room frame dwelling in first-class condition, 5 curing barns, 2 storing barns with basements, 2 outhouses or tenants' houses.
Another tract contains about 100 acres, on which is located 2 outhouses or tenant houses. [Handwritten note adds “2 curing barns”.]
The third tract contains about 75 acres, about three-quarters of which is well wooded. No buildings.
The three tracts will be first offered separately and then offered as a whole. These lands are especially adapted for fine tobacco.
TERMS OF SALE: — One-third cash, balance in two equal installments at one and two years, with interest at 6%, interest payable semi-annually, secured by a deed of trust.
POSSESSION IMMEDIATELY.
At the same time and place the personal property, consisting of Machinery, Farming Implements, Stock and Household Goods will be offered at auction.
